Nestled within the shallow waters of the creek between the Carriage House and the Katherine D. Elliot Studio Arts Center, this structure is a study in movement, sightlines, and sensory contrast. Its unyielding concrete form rises with triangular voids that frame the landscape, while a central column crowned with spires anchors the space. Movable walls slip seamlessly into the concrete, acting as fenestration closures—allowing students to push, pull, and manipulate apertures, shaping how light and air filter through. The controlled flooding of the space forms a deliberate triangular pool, creating a striking juxtaposition between solid and fluid, absence and presence. As students traverse the terrain, the shifting walls transform their perception, heightening their awareness of enclosure and openness, the static and the dynamic.
